Product Creation and Affiliate Marketing

Product Creation and Internet Gurus

I have nothing against internet marketers having product that are geared to internet marketers but when they make ridiculous claims and are poor products then I figure I might as well mention it. It can be so frustrating buying crappy internet marketing products when you don’t know any better and only find out later that you have only wasted a lot of time and money.

I think many affiliate marketers eventually get to a point where they realize they can make a lot more money and have more control over their income with their own products or CPA offers. There are some that are very successful at creating good niche digital download products (like on clickbank) but lately as I have mentioned on this site before there are dozens every week that are coming out strictly geared and taking money from newbies.

Anyways, I’m on lots of guru mailing lists just to see their sales copy and like glancing at their emails/new products but please make sure you do some research before buying and realize that most claims of some secret method, limited offer, etc…are just good sales copy. Below are jsut a few of the recent products I have seen launched:

Here is one I saw recently called Auto Traffic Avalance (its not an affiliate link) that have all the key points of successful sales copy but it is so ridiculous in its claims and the silly claim being limited to 234 people is just plain dumb. (they have a big joint venture contest for whatever affiliates sell the most of it). There is a huge thread of how it is bad product and essentially uses a redirect/cloaking script for facebook admins (that is not new and not a secret…….go read posts on wickedfire.com about it) and its a good way to get banned on facebook. Facebook isnt a secret traffic method and it costs money and takes work….

Onto the next product recently, called Rob Benwell’s Auto Blog System X. where they claim to make over $200k/month……Again all the claims of secret method, fast money,etc…..I like looking at all autoblog products but nowadays I usually just look in Autoblog Blueprint forums since the creator Mike has tried seriously every autoblog related product/method and sure enough someone asked about this product and the response was what I expected……”compare it to my program and be astounded at what people accept as an auto blogging product. I cannot believe what people will say to market a product.” Along with other knowledgeable autobloggers in the ABB forums who bought it for curiosity and found it to be a complete waste of time. I dont even want to link to Autoblog System X site because it makes me so mad seeing products like that. Summary, Dont buy it……

And finally the other product I saw this week was a product from WP Mage creator Greg Jacobs called The Assassination for $2,000. Holy S%^T……..there are quite a few prior products that already show you how to create and launch internet products (like I have heard really good stuff about InfoProdigy.com from the guys who also created commissions blueprint, etc….I mean Greg did launch successfully with WP Mage but he isnt a serial product launcher like other gurus so I wouldnt exactly call him the ultimate product creation expert and I watched many of those presentations live from the conference in Thailand that  come with the Assassination package…..they were ok presentation but for $2000 the information wasnt that earth shattering ? I think the fushionHQ software is cool but you can get it for a monthly subscription instead or be cheap and use wordpress to create your sales page/sales funnel)………..overall, I didn’t buy Greg Jacobs The Assassination but for $2,000 no thanks….

Point of this post is do some research before buying (like warriorforum.com reviews)……if product sounds to good to be true then it is…….stop looking for the holy grail and focus. I still stand by autoblog blueprint(read my review) as the the best money i’ve spent so far on internet marketing. Mike is real(Autoblog Blueprint creator), no hype, tells it like it is and goes above and beyond providing amazing information for his customers.

  2. Interesting post. One thing that’s worth considering when buying info products and can justify an extra amount sometimes is quality of teaching and the availability of coaching or questions. The IM world is flooded with products and the information itself is becoming more and more similar and easy to access.
I think increasingly quality of teaching and coaching will be the real differentiators between products rather than the information itself.

Is it the Autotraffic Avalanche that is visiting my blog then? I never understand what it’s trying to tell me, but it keeps coming to me all the time.
